Please take a look at the directions below for downloading, installing, and activating your GIS software. Please not that you will need about 2.5 Gigabytes of space on your computer for the software.
Login into MyESRI https://my.esri.com/ and create an account. Click on "My Organizations" and then "Downloads." Then download the "ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap)." The download is about 2GB.
After installing the software, the license manager should open. If it doesn't then search for "ArcGIS Administrator."
Then click on the "Desktop folder in the upper-left, and then select "Advanced (ArcInfo) Single Use" Be careful not to select the Concurrent Use option.
Then click "Authorize Now."
In the next menu, select the first option as shown below, and then click "Next."
In the next menu, select the "Authorize with Esri now using the internet: option as shown below, and then click "Next."
In the next menu enter your contact information. The fields may already be populated with Dr. Loubert's info, if so then replace it with your own contact info. Then click "Next."
In the next menu enter the appropriate values about your affiliation. The information shown below should be adequate for all participants.
Then click "Next."
In the next menu enter the activation code that you received in your e-mail.
Click "Next."
In the next step you can select extensions that you want to use. It is recommended that you select all extensions and add the same activation code that you entered before.
Then click "Next."
In the next menu skip the options to evaluate extensions and click "Next" and your software will begin the online-authorization process. After completing try starting your ArcMap software.
