GIS Journals

is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal specializing in studies from applied geography that interface with GIS.  This journal presents articles on various application domains within applied geospatial research. IJAGR is focused on research highlighting various GIS&T application domains that span the social and physical sciences.

The ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conferences on Advances in Geographic Information Systems are events in a series of symposia and workshops whose goal is to bring together researchers, developers, users, and practitioners  to carry out research and development in novel systems based on geo-spatial data and knowledge, and to foster interdisciplinary discussions and research in all aspects of geographic information systems.

focuses on three research domains: building information modeling, 3D GIS, and integration of 3D information in the urban built environment. IJ3DIM facilitates the exchange of current scientific information, as well as sharing of state-of-the art technological developments within the AEC industry.

A peer-reviewed, online, open access journal focusing on applications of GIS in the health sciences.

(updated irregularly) bring together data about major health outcomes and present them for each of 55 Community Statistical Areas in the city of Baltimore. Community Statistical Areas are clusters of neighborhoods developed by the City’s Planning Department based on recognizable city neighborhoods. Each NHP compares the CSA’s health outcomes to the city as a whole. Analysis of these data reinforce that where we live, learn, work and play have a powerful impact on our health.
