When we cannot find the data we need in existing resources we will have to create it from scratch.  Several methods exist for doing this:

• Digitization
• Taking an aerial photograph with a drone, or possibly and airplane or even a satellite if possible. 
• Collecting the Data with a GPS device
• Collecting data with sensors like thermometers, and other surveillance devices and methods
