Finding articles

Helpful Databases

PubMed 

A service of the National Library of Medicine that provides access to over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and additional life sciences journals.

CINAHL 

This database provides indexing and abstracting for over 1,600 current nursing and allied health journals and publications dating back to 1982.

Health Reference Center Academic

Provides indexing for over 200 journals, and full text coverage of over 100 journals, 500+ pamphlets, and selected health-related articles from an additional 1,500 general interest magazines. Also includes full text of six medical reference books and more than 1,800 medical topic overviews from 'Clinical Reference Systems.

Biomedical Reference Collection

This database provides managers and clinical researchers in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical technologies, medical device manufacturing, biogenetics and public health with full-text access to the most important journals in the biomedical field. Developed for users of major medical indexes, Biomedical Reference Collection: Corporate Edition contains full-text journals covering a variety of disciplines ranging from biomedicine and health sciences to the health care system and pre-clinical sciences. Many journals are available in native (searchable) PDF format.

General Reference Databases

Academic Search Ultimate offers access to an unprecedented collection of many peer-reviewed and full-text resources that includes journals, magazines, reports, books, and videos in almost every subject area.
 
OmniFile Full Text Mega  covers core subjects, including applied sciences, art, education, humanities, law, social sciences and technology. Full text of articles from over 3,100 publications dating back to 1994. Indexing and abstracts from nearly 5,100 publications.
 
ProQuest Central  provides access to 27 of ProQuest's most highly used databases, with a variety of content types across over 160 subjects.
 
Sage Premier provides electronic access to over 690+ peer-reviewed journals. Sage's interdisciplinary coverage spans subject areas including business, humanities, social sciences, science, technology, medicine and many more. Click here for additional information about Sage Premier.
