Graduate Studies: Concept Mapping

This guide can be used as an introduction to the resources and services available at the Earl S. Richardson library.

Concept Maps

Why use a concept map? A concept map is an invaluable tool that can help you stay organized as you begin writing your dissertation. The elements of a given mind map are arranged intuitively according to the importance of the concepts, and are classified into groupings, branches, or areas, with the goal of representing semantic or other connections between portions of information. Mind maps may also aid recall of existing memories. Here are my two favorite FREE concept mapping tools.
