  • Proceedings of the ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on the Use of GIS in Public Health 

The aim of ACM SIGSPATIAL Workshop on the Use of GIS in Public Health is to bring together researchers, developers, users, and actitioners in relation to novel systems based on geo-spatial data and knowledge, and fostering interdisciplinary discussions and research in all aspects of Public Health GIS.

(updated irregularly) bring together data about major health outcomes and present them for each of 55 Community Statistical Areas in the city of Baltimore. Community Statistical Areas are clusters of neighborhoods developed by the City’s Planning Department based on recognizable city neighborhoods. Each NHP compares the CSA’s health outcomes to the city as a whole. Analysis of these data reinforce that where we live, learn, work and play have a powerful impact on our health.

             PubMed comprises more than 26 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.
