Workshop Descriptions

GIS I Basic GIS Skills

Two dates available:

(Mon) Oct 21  5 pm to 7 pm

(Thu) Oct 24 11 am to 1 pm

Create a Population Density Map of Baltimore (see below for example)

This workshop provides a basic introduction to GIS procedures and ArcGIS software.

  • Skills:
    • Create a database and importing spatial and attribute data in ArcCatalog,
    • Join tables and extract data by selection,
    • Learn some visualization techniques in ArcMap,
    • Creating a finished map.
