How to search for articles

This page will link you with article resources.   You can use the Library Discovery Service search box below to search through most of the library's resources.  The tutorial video will show you how to use the Library Discovery Service to find articles.

Databases

Access Engineering is an engineering reference tool for professionals, academics, and students that provides access to well known, current and authoritative,  engineering reference information.

IEEE Xplore Covers topics includes: from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.   

ProQuest Dissertations and thesis Global is the authoritative source for information about graduate projects. The database represents the work of authors from over 1,000 graduate schools and universities.  SEE the Library's tutorial HERE.

Sage Research Methods Supports research at all levels by providing material to guide users through every step of the research process. Sage has more than 1000 books, many more journal articles, instructional videos and other  resources from scholarly publishers as well as a Methods Map that can help those less familiar with research methods find the best technique to use in their research.

SCOPUS is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.

Thesauri

[File] The IEEE Thesaurus is a controlled vocabulary of almost 9,700 descriptive engineering, technical and scientific terms used in a consistent and controlled fashion that results in better information searching and retrieval.

Transportation Research Thesaurus 

is a tool to improve the indexing and retrieval of transportation information. The thesaurus covers all modes and aspects of transportation. The TRT's purpose is to provide a common and consistent language between producers and users of transportation information.

NASA Thesaurus 

contains an alphabetical listing of subject terms with their fully-expanded hierarchical structure, term definitions, USE cross references, and related terms
